How Can I Improve My diibAI Visibility Score?

There are multiple ways you can increase your diibAI Visibility Score.

Improving your score means increasing how often AIs talk about your business — and you don’t need to be technical to do it! Just follow these seven simple steps:

1. Check which sites AI uses for your industry

diibAI Visibility Score lists the sites AIs pull from most often when people ask questions about your business. Make sure you’re on them. Here are some examples of well known directories (below) but there are many more including local news sites, chambers of commerce, other local businesses, blog posts, etc…

  • Roofers & Contractors: Yelp, Angi, BBB, local Chamber of Commerce.
  • Restaurants: Yelp, Tripadvisor, OpenTable, Google Maps.
  • Dentists & Doctors: Healthgrades, Zocdoc, Google Business Profile.
  • Retail & Salons: Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps.
  • Tour & Travel: Tripadvisor, Viator, local tourism boards.

If a competitor appears in an AI answer, diibAI Visibility Score will show you where they are listed — all you have to do is try to get your business listed there too. This may require an email to the page owner or creating an account with a local directory or simply filling out a form.

You might not be able to get listed everywhere AI is pulling its answers from but even a few will get you more AI visibility!

2. Create content that answers real questions

AIs favor clear, useful answers written in plain English. Add a few short pages or blog posts that directly address common local questions, such as:

  • “How long does a metal roof last in snow?”
  • “Best gluten-free pizza in Park City?”
  • “What’s the safest way to whiten teeth?”
  • “When is the best time for a Yellowstone wildlife tour?”

You don’t need a dozen articles — even two or three strong, helpful pages can lift your visibility. diibAI Visibility Score can also help you identify content you need on your site. Look at the citations that it uses to build the answers and open them and see if there are any questions being answered that you don’t currently answer on your website.

This is usually the easiest to spot when a competitor is listed as a citation/backlink. Just open the page cited and see what content they have and make sure you have a similar (and hopefully better) page of content on your website.

3. Strengthen your online footprint

Keep your business information identical everywhere (name, address, phone, website). Add photos, project stories, and clear city/service mentions on each page that is locally oriented — e.g., “Residential Roofing in Pittsburgh and Warren.” That consistency signals authority to both Google and AI.

4. Build relationships that lead to mentions and backlinks

Getting mentioned on other reputable websites tells AI you’re credible.

  • Ask suppliers, partners, or local charities to link to you.
  • Write a testimonial for a vendor (they often post it with your link).
  • Submit a short success story to your Chamber of Commerce or a local news site.
  • Join niche directories like Houzz, WeddingWire, Avvo, Zocdoc, GoodFirms, or Clutch.

Even a few quality mentions can move your score noticeably.

5. Keep your profiles active and positive

AI systems favor current, responsive businesses.

  • Post at least once a month on Google Business or Facebook.
  • Respond to reviews — especially negative ones — professionally.
  • Ask happy customers for reviews right after each job or visit.
  • Refresh photos and confirm hours regularly.

An active profile signals trust and keeps you top-of-mind with both humans and AI.

6. Be quoted as an expert

AI models love authoritative voices. Boost your credibility by:

  • Answering questions on Quora or Reddit (with your website in your profile).
  • Joining HARO or Qwoted to provide short expert quotes.
  • Sharing mini “how-to” tips on LinkedIn or your blog.

The more your name or brand appears across reliable sources, the more likely AI is to reference you directly.
