Before your RetargetBoost Onboarding Call, please make sure to follow these instructions. If these steps aren't completed, we may have to reschedule the call. If you've booked your call with us, your booking details have been emailed to you.
Welcome to RetargetBoost! To make sure we can launch your campaign smoothly, please complete the following steps before your onboarding call. This will help us get your ad up and running as quickly as possible.
Please follow the directions below, and have your Facebook Business portfolio ID ready for your call.
To get your Business ID, click https://business.facebook.com, then click on the Settings icon:
Then click Business info at the top left of your screen:
You'll see your Business portfolio ID at the top:
Make sure to write down this number for your call with us.
1. Set Up a Facebook Business Manager Account
Start here if you only have a Facebook Page and haven’t used Meta Ads before.

Click “Create Account”

Enter your business name, your name, and your business email

Click Submit

Confirm your email address by clicking the verification link sent to your inbox
2. Create Your Facebook Ad Account
Start here if you already have a Facebook Business Manager.

Log into Facebook Business Manager

Navigate to: Business Settings > Accounts > Ad Accounts

Click “Add” > “Create a New Ad Account”

Enter your ad account name (for example: “Acme Co Ads”), select your time zone and currency, and specify that it’s for your business

Assign yourself and any team members with the appropriate permissions (Admin or Advertiser)

Click Assign
3. Add a Payment Method
Meta requires a payment method to run ads. Your RetargetBoost ad spend is controlled by you, so you can always increase or decrease as you'd like!

In Business Settings, go to: Payments > Add Payment Method

Add a credit/debit card or PayPal account

Meta will charge this account directly for your ad spend
4. Create and Install Your Facebook Pixel
This is how we track your website visitors for retargeting. Please make sure to add your pixel before your meeting with us.

Click “Connect Data Sources” > “Web” > “Facebook Pixel”

Name your pixel (e.g., “Acme Pixel”) and enter your website URL

Click Continue
Choose one of the following ways to install your pixel:

Manual Installation: Copy the pixel base code and paste it into the
<head>
section of every page on your website -
Partner Integration: If you're using Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, etc., select your platform and follow the guided instructions

Google Tag Manager: If you're using GTM, Facebook will walk you through connecting the pixel this way

5. Upload 3 Photo Options for Your Retargeting Ad
We’ll choose the best one for your campaign. Authentic images often perform better than stock photos.
Please use this form to upload three photo options before your onboarding call. We suggest:

A photo of your team to show the people behind the brand

A product or service photo that highlights what you offer
-
A photo of your storefront, office, or workspace - this is especially helpful if you serve a local audience
Other great options include:

A branded shelf display or flat lay

A behind-the-scenes photo that feels authentic and personal
Don’t worry if you don’t have all three. Send us what you have and we’ll help choose what works best.
