If we've completed a Backlink Cleanup for you, you might still be getting alerts about spammy backlinks. Here's why.
Once you order a backlink cleanup from Diib, we create and submit a disavow file to Google. This file tells Google to ignore those spammy backlinks so they won’t harm your rankings.
However, it’s important to know that disavowing backlinks doesn’t remove them from the web. The links will still exist on the original websites, and tools like Diib will most likely continue to detect and report them (this is also stated in Google Support's explanation of the disavow tool).
So, you may still get notifications about these links from Diib, even though they’ve been disavowed.
While disavowing bad links is important for keeping your backlink profile clean, it’s also a good idea to focus on building quality backlinks to replace them. The more high-quality backlinks you have pointing to your site, the better it will be for your website’s overall authority and rankings.
