How to Add a User as an Administrator on Your Website

This article is designed to help users who are adding Diib (ga@diib.com) as a user to their website.

1. Shopify

  1. Log in to Shopify:

  2. Navigate to Settings:

    • Click on Settings in the bottom left corner.
  3. Go to Users and Permissions:

    • Select Users and Permissions from the menu.
  4. Add a Staff Member:

    • Click Add Staff.
    • Enter the user's email address and assign the permissions as Full permissions to give admin-level access.
  5. Send Invite:

    • Click Send invite.
    • The user will receive an email to accept the invitation and complete the setup.

2. WordPress

  1. Log in to WordPress Admin:

    • Navigate to yourwebsite.com/wp-admin.
  2. Go to Users:

    • In the left-hand menu, click on Users, then select Add New.
  3. Fill in User Details:

    • Enter the username, email, and password for the new user.
  4. Assign Role:

    • In the Role dropdown, select Administrator.
  5. Add New User:

    • Click Add New User.
    • The user will now have admin-level access.

3. BigCommerce

  1. Log in to BigCommerce Admin:

  2. Navigate to Account Settings:

    • Click on Account Settings in the main menu.
  3. Go to Users:

    • Under Users, click Add User.
  4. Enter User Details:

    • Provide the user’s email address and name.
  5. Assign Permissions:

    • Set User Role to Store Owner or Administrator for full access.
  6. Save and Send Invite:

    • Click Save to send the invitation.

4. Wix

  1. Log in to Wix:

  2. Go to Settings:

    • From the dashboard, click Settings.
  3. Access Roles and Permissions:

    • Scroll to Roles & Permissions under Advanced Settings.
  4. Invite People:

    • Click Invite People and enter the user's email address.
  5. Assign Role:

    • Choose the Admin role for full access.
  6. Send Invite:

    • Click Send Invite. The user will receive an email to join.

5. Squarespace

  1. Log in to Squarespace:

  2. Go to Permissions:

    • Navigate to Settings > Permissions.
  3. Invite Contributor:

    • Click Invite Contributor, then enter the user's email.
  4. Set Role:

    • Select Administrator for full access.
  5. Send Invitation:

    • Click Invite. The user must accept the email invitation.

6. Weebly (Now part of Square)

  1. Log in to Weebly:

  2. Access Settings:

    • Click Settings in the main menu.
  3. Manage Editors:

    • Select Editors under the settings.
  4. Add Editor:

    • Enter the user's email address and assign Admin permissions.
  5. Send Invite:

    • Click Invite.

7. Magento (Adobe Commerce)

  1. Log in to Magento Admin Panel:

    • Navigate to your Magento Admin Panel.
  2. Go to System Settings:

    • Click System > Permissions > Users.
  3. Add New User:

    • Click Add New User.
  4. Fill in User Details:

    • Provide username, email, and password.
  5. Assign Role:

    • Assign the role of Administrator.
  6. Save User:

    • Click Save User.

8. Joomla

  1. Log in to Joomla Admin:

    • Go to yourwebsite.com/administrator.
  2. Go to Users:

    • Click on Users > Manage.
  3. Add New User:

    • Click New.
  4. Fill in User Details:

    • Provide the name, username, email, and password.
  5. Assign Role:

    • Under Assigned User Groups, select Administrator.
  6. Save User:

    • Click Save & Close.

9. Drupal

  1. Log in to Drupal Admin:

    • Navigate to yourwebsite.com/user.
  2. Go to People:

    • Click People in the admin toolbar.
  3. Add User:

    • Click Add user.
  4. Fill in User Details:

    • Enter username, email, and password.
  5. Assign Role:

    • Select Administrator under Roles.
  6. Save User:

    • Click Create new account.
