It's important to have a Google Business Profile. If someone has already claimed yours, here's how to gain access.
What Do I Do If Someone Else Has Claimed My Google Business Profile?
If someone else has claimed your Google Business Profile, don’t worry—you can request ownership directly from Google. Here’s what to do:
- Go to the Google Business Profile Manager (business.google.com) and search for your business.
- If the profile is already claimed, you’ll see a message that says someone may already be managing this profile, with an option to Request Access.
- Click Request Access and fill out the form with your business details.
- Google will notify the current owner, who has three days to respond.
- If they don’t respond or deny your request, Google will guide you through the next steps to verify ownership.
If you need additional help, Google provides a support option within the Business Profile Manager where you can appeal and prove ownership.
It’s important to claim your profile as soon as possible, so you have full control over how your business appears in search results.
