Why Doesn't Diib Recognize My Sitemap?

If you're sure you have a sitemap and you're getting notifications we can't find it, here's what to do.

If Diib isn’t recognizing your sitemap, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Ensure Your Sitemap is Accessible:

   • Verify that your sitemap has been submitted to your Google Search Console account.
   • Check for any syntax errors or issues in your sitemap file.
   • Confirm that your robots.txt file allows search engines to access your sitemap. Learn more here.

2. Allow Time for Crawling:

   • After making any changes, allow search engines time to crawl and recognize the updated sitemap.

3. Check Security Features:

   • A firewall or security setting on your website may be blocking Diib’s web crawler. Whitelisting Diib.com in your website’s security settings can resolve this issue.

4. If Your Sitemap is Correct:

   • If your XML sitemap is built correctly and indexed by Google, you can safely ignore the alert in your Diib dashboard.
   • Alternatively, you can whitelist diib.com and request a sitemap refresh so we can attempt another scan.

These steps should help resolve most sitemap recognition issues.
